Overlooked by many, yet surprising those who recognized the underground representatives of Mississippi, known as Crunk-N-Buck. Born into the same family, the only sons of two sisters, Crunk, born Ricco Orange and Dabuck1, born Roderick Webb both inspired by the death of Ricco's Mother at the age of 13, created a bond much stronger than brothers, and music was their escape.
Many verses have gone unheard over the span of 12 years, from Karaoke machines to 24 track boards,Crunk-N-Buck has been creating lyrics as well as their own unique style striving and determined to be heard. They where making mixtapes before there where mixtapes, S.P.B. Hustlers recorded on cassette and sold in tha hood for $5 back in '96. It wasn't the best, but locally it was the beginning of something major. People responded with enthusiasm and encouragement, requesting for more tapes, more shows, more of the Crunk-N-Buck boyz.
However, being youngsters it was hard to come up with the finances needed to complete a full CD. That's when 2 other MC's known as Shatterd World, decided to put their thoughts and desires together, and from the bottom-up, they created their own recording studio, known as Bottom Sounds Studio. Dropping their first album in 2003, titled Crunk-N-Buck, "Blowin'Up", it was an instant classic. They then began self-promoting, selling cd's out of the trunk throughout the south, from city to city, selling thousands of cd's and still counting.
With the sound of the super-producer, Blackout, they have created the rawest underground sound out of the state of Mississippi, releasing Crunk-N-Buck, "Undiscovered," May of 2007, with features from all over, suchas Kronic, Gangst Blac, Terror, Guice, Shatterd World, and many more. Following the release of Undiscovered, DaBuck1 was incarcerated for 2 years for drug related charges, which was a major set back for the entire team.
January 2011, Crunk-N-Buck released DaBuck1, "State Issue Mixtape - Limited Edition." This was a solo project answering all questions about charges, time away, and anyone who questioned the status of Crunk-N-Buck as being a thing of the past. A lot of fans where questioning the relationship of Crunk-N-Buck, so we answered by dropping "Undiscovered Mixtape," July 2011. Crunk-N-Buck has picked up right where they left off, taking over the streets releasing "Microphone Money," February 2012. Bottom Sound Audio Visuals Studio has a new location, new equipment, and open doors for studio time. They are currently in the studio recording new material for the new release, summer 2014, Crunk-N-Buck "Red Writing." Expect a lot of high quality music, videos, and good entertainment from Crunk-N-Buck and Bottom Sound Family (Guice (Snubnoze), Staar Queenkong, Shatterd World, Woo Thakid, Playa Zeek, DuThakid, G-Mayz) within the near future and years to come.
